A times table is a chart that shows the results of multiplying a number with whole numbers. Learning the times table helps kids understand multiplication. We use an algebraic system to define multiplication operations, construction, estimation, schoolwork, exams, etc. In this topic, we will learn about the table of 900.

What is the multiplication table of 900?

Multiplication was used by people over 4000 years ago. Babylonians were considered the first to use it in clay tablets. Multiplication tables were created as a result of people's search for easier ways to solve problems. Learning multiplication tables has numerous advantages. Kids can answer quickly if they know their times table. It also helps to enhance their understanding skills. Being more familiar with the tables improves children's memory and confidence.

Multiplying the whole number (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and so on) by 900 gives the product of the multiplication table of 900. Here are some examples:

900 × 1 = 900
900 × 2 = 900 + 900 = 1800
900 × 3 = 900 + 900 + 900 = 2700
900 × 4 = 900 + 900 + 900 + 900 = 3600
900 × 5 = 900 + 900 + 900 + 900 + 900 = 4500

900, 1800, 2700, 3600, 4500, and so on are multiples of 900.

900 Times Table Chart

The 900 times table chart shows the multiples of 900. Every result in the chart is obtained by multiplying 900 with whole numbers, like 1 to 10, and so on.

For example:

900 × 10 = 9000

900 × 11 = 9900

900 × 12 = 10800, and so on.

TABLE OF 900 (1-10)

900 x 1 = 900

900 x 6 = 5400

900 x 2 = 1800

900 x 7 = 6300

900 x 3 = 2700

900 x 8 = 7200

900 x 4 = 3600

900 x 9 = 8100

900 x 5 = 4500

900 x 10 = 9000

TABLE OF 900 (11-20)

900 x 11 = 9900

900 x 16 = 14400

900 x 12 = 10800

900 x 17 = 15300

900 x 13 = 11700

900 x 18 = 16200

900 x 14 = 12600

900 x 19 = 17100

900 x 15 = 13500

900 x 20 = 18000

Tips and Tricks for the Multiplication Table of 900

Understanding the multiplication table of 900 can be challenging because of the larger number involved. But with tips and tricks, it becomes easier. Let’s look into some:

Break the numbers into smaller parts:

Breaking the numbers into smaller parts will make it easy to learn multiplication.

For example, 900 × 4

Here, 900 can break into 500 + 400

(500 × 4) + (400 × 4) = 2000 + 1600

= 3600.

Use of flashcards:

On one side of the flashcard, write the multiplication problems.

For example:

Front: 900 × 3

Back: 2700.

Repeated patterns:

The unit digits in the 900 times table repeat every 5 multiples.

For example: The unit digits repeat in the cycle: 0, 0, 0, 0, 0. After every 5 multiples, the cycle restarts.
