What is the Divisibility Rule of 291?

The divisibility rule for 291 is a method by which we can find out if a number is divisible by 291 or not without using the division method. Check whether 582 is divisible by 291 with the divisibility rule.

Step 1: Divide the number into two parts such that the first part contains all but the last three digits, and the second part contains the last three digits, here in 582, the first part is 0, and the second part is 582 since it is a three-digit number.

Step 2: Subtract the first part from the second part, i.e., 582 - 0 = 582.

Step 3: Check if the result is a multiple of 291. If it is, then the number is divisible by 291. In this case, 582 is exactly 2 times 291, so 582 is divisible by 291.
