The Turing-Tesla Challenge brings together the two core pillars of the program; coding and robotics into one immersive learning experience.
Inspired by Alan Turing, who laid the foundation for computation and intelligent logic, and Nikola Tesla, who imagined machines operating in the physical world, the challenge bridges thinking and building.
Students are challenged to apply coding concepts to real-world systems, transforming algorithms into working solutions that can think logically, make decisions and interact with their environment.
Through guided problem-solving, hands-on building and iterative testing, students experience how ideas evolve into intelligent machines, developing skills that prepare them for future pathways in technology, innovation and engineering.

Masterclass 1-Guide NOVA Home
Students learn how machines follow clear step-by-step instructions and why precise commands are essential for correct system behaviour.

Masterclass 2-Wake Up NOVA!
Students teach machines to make simple choices when situations change, helping systems respond instead of stopping or waiting.

Masterclass 3-NOVA Can Hear & Move
Students explore how machines sense sound, movement, and touch to react automatically to their surroundings.

Masterclass 4-NOVA the Smart Helper
Students test their systems in changing conditions and improve them to work independently in real-life scenarios.
Competitions

Global Quiz
Kickstart the hackathon with a thrilling quiz testing coding logic, problem solving skills, robotics concepts and system thinking across global learners.

Project Submission
Build, code, and submit an autonomous robotics project that turns ideas into intelligent systems solving real-world challenges.
Hackathon JuniorCHAMPS (Grade 4-6)

Masterclass 1-Tesla City Explorer
Students use loops and variables to keep systems running continuously without human intervention or repeated instructions.

Masterclass 2-Tesla Decision Brain
Students build decision logic that helps systems choose faster, smarter actions during complex or changing situations.

Masterclass 3-Self-Driving Tesla Controller
Students design systems that detect problems, self-correct and adapt automatically using feedback loops.

Masterclass 4-Autonomous City Tour System
Students design an end-to-end autonomous solutions that works smoothly from input to action.
Hackathon SeniorCHAMPS (Grade 7-12)

Masterclass 1-System Behavior & Control Foundations
Students build event-driven systems that respond instantly to real-time inputs without waiting for manual commands.

Masterclass 2-Smart Routing Controller
Students apply optimization and pathfinding techniques to help systems select the best routes and decisions efficiently.

Masterclass 3-Real-Time Autonomous Control
Students integrate multiple inputs to create coordinated, intelligent systems that communicate and act together.

Masterclass 4-Rebuilding the Past with Autonomy
Students design, document and present a fully autonomous system solving a real-world challenge.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which subjects are covered in the hackathon?
BrightCHAMPS Global Hackathon 2026 includes four core pillars of the future; Robotics, coding, financial literacy and math, across different age groups.
What is the theme of BrightCHAMPS Global Hackathon 2026?
The themes for BrightCHAMPS Global Hackathon 2026 are divided into two. Robotics & Coding: The Turing-Tesla Challenge, which is about applying strong coding skills to real-world systems and transforming algorithms into machines. Financial Literacy & Math: The Markowitz Matrix, which focuses on applying mathematical thinking to compare choices, manage risk and make better financial decisions.
Is the hackathon suitable for my child’s grade level?
Yes! All activities and masterclasses in the hackathon are specially designed for each grade, ensuring age-appropriate learning and challenges.
What will my child learn from participating in the Hackathon?
Students will learn to build autonomous systems, improve problem-solving and logical thinking, apply math for smart real-world decisions and gain confidence in presenting ideas on stage.
How will the hackathon sessions be conducted?
Masterclasses will be held in groups of 8 students and conducted similar to regular BrightCHAMPS sessions, followed by project building and submissions.
Is there a deadline to complete the Hackathon project?
Yes, each phase will have a clear timeline shared in advance to guide students smoothly.
