They can be spotted from far away, as they spread light effects from around, and Beacons are really useful in your Minecraft World because if you are lost in your games for kids they will help you find your spot. Minecraft Beacon is a kind of block that works as a light source.

Minecraft Beacons give many powers to upgrade Speed, Mining, Jump Boost, Regeneration Health, Haste, Resistance, or Strength to a player.

The materials you need to craft a Beacon in Minecraft

For crafting a Beacon in Minecraft, you need to gather some materials from your Minecraft world.

  1. Glass
  2. Obsidian
  3. Nether Star

Glass

Glass is the easiest material you can create in Minecraft movie with the help of Sand. You can find sand easily on the beach or desert. You’ll need five blocks of sand or any type of fuel to make a glass.

The next material that is needed is Obsidian. You can find this by mining it from the bottom of the ground and also there one more way to create obsidian by yourself is by dropping water from the bucket into lava.

Nether Star

It is the rarest item in the Minecraft world. You can get Nether Star by winning a victory over the most powerful boss in Minecraft, “The Wither”.

You can’t find “The Wither” like other enemies, but you have to create your own Wither with items found in the nether. 

So now, let’s talk about how you can find Nether Star.

  1. Make a Nether Portal for the Nether.
  2. Now, find at least four blocks of Soul Sand.
  3. Collect three Wither Skeleton Skulls. It is really difficult to find because there is only a 2.5% chance that a skull is dropped when wither is killed.
  4. Pile the soul sand in a “T” shape, and put three skulls on top of it and the runaway.
  5. After some time, the Wither will spawn and create a heavy detonation around itself. Once the detonation gets away, fight with wither and kill it.
  6. And now, after killing the Wither it’ll drop a Nether Star.

Go to the workbench and add a few things:-

  • Three pieces of glass on top of the row.
  • Put one glass, one Nether star, and one glass in the middle row.
  • Three Obsidian in the bottom row.

Now for upgrading the powers and the light beam, you have to put your Beacon on top of the Pyramid.

If you want to use your beacon, building a pyramid is really important. Your Beacon is only activated when you put it on Pyramid. For creating a pyramid you will need a few blocks i.e., IRON, GOLD, EMERALD, DIAMOND, OR NETHERITE. It is your wish if you want only one block or as many blocks as you want. The pyramid has four levels and as you increase the level the power will also increase.

So, the level 1 beacon pyramid is the basic pyramid you can create with the help of 9 blocks in a 3 x 3 square shape. This pyramid is only 1 floor long. After creating the pyramid you have to put your beacon on top of it, in the center for activation.

You get speed and haste boosts from this level 1 pyramid, which will help you mine resources more quickly because speed boosts make the player move faster.

Now, we are going to talk about the level 2 beacon pyramid

So, the level 2 beacon pyramid is the second basic pyramid you can create with the help of 34 blocks. The top floor is still a 3 x 3 square shape, but the bottom layer is now a 5 x 5 square shape. This pyramid is only 2 floors long. After building the pyramid, position your beacon in the center of it for activation.

This level 2 pyramid gives you additional new boosts apart from speed and haste boosts. It added Jump boosts and Resistance Boosts. Jump boosts will help you with higher jumps and resistance will help you to lower the incoming damage to the player.

Now, we are going to talk about the level 3 beacon pyramid

So, the level 3 beacon pyramid is the third type of pyramid you can create with the help of 83 blocks. The top floor is still a 3 x 3 square shape but the middle layer is now a 5 x 5 square shape and finally, the bottom layer is now a 7 x 7 square shape. This pyramid is 3 floors long. After creating the pyramid you have to put your beacon on top of it, in the center for activation.

In addition to new boosts for speed, haste, jump, and resistance, this level 3 pyramid offers you newer boosts as well. It added a strength Boost with this level. It increases the damage done by you to any entity.

Now, we are going to talk about the level 4 beacon pyramid

So, the level 4 beacon pyramid is the final level of the pyramid you can create with the help of 164 blocks. The top floor is still a 3 x 3 square shape, but the second layer is now a 5 x 5 square shape, the third layer is now a 7 x 7 square shape and the lowermost layer is a 9 x 9 square shape. This pyramid is 4 floors long. After creating the pyramid you have to put your beacon on top of it, in the center for activation.

This level 4 pyramid gives you additional new boosts apart from speed, haste, jump, resistance, and strength boost. It added a regeneration Boost with this level. It increases the strength of regeneration, with helps to get health back faster.

How to use Minecraft Beacon

Now that you know how to make a beacon, it’s time to learn how to use the abilities and features that the construction of pyramids unlocks in our world of Minecraft.

Step 1 – When the beacon starts releasing a beam of light, go near it and then right-click on it, and then click on the secondary action button.

Step 2 – On the left side you’ll see a power menu and in this menu, all the powers are available that you get at the time of creating the pyramid.

Step 3 – Now, if you want to use these powers, you can simply select the power you want and activate it by clicking on them.

Step 4 –  When you are done selecting your power, now you have to activate your boosts. For this, you need to put an Iron ingot, Gold ingot, Diamond, Emerald, or Netherite ingot on empty blocks then click on the Green Tick Mark button.
