A tool that is used to calculate is a calculator. Based on the functions and options, there are different types of calculators. We use calculators to calculate the volume of any three-dimensional object. The length, width and height of the 3D object is used to calculate the volume using a cubic feet calculator.
Let’s talk more about how to use the cubic feet calculator. The steps to use a cubic feet calculator are given below:
Step 1: Open the cubic feet calculator. Using the appropriate unit, enter the values for length, height and width.
Step 2: After clicking on ‘convert’, volume in cubic feet will be displayed.
When using calculators it’s possible for students to make small mistakes, here are a few common mistakes and ways to avoid them
Calculate the volume of a rectangular box. Where the length, width, and height are 4 feet, 3 feet, and 2 feet respectively.
The volume of the rectangle box is 24 cubic feet
The volume of a rectangle is calculated by multiplying length, width, and height.
Here, length = 4 feet, width = 3 feet, height = 2 feet
Volume = lwh
= 4 × 3 × 2 = 24 cubic feet
If the length of the edge of a cube is 5 cm. Find the volume of a cube
The volume of a cube is 125 cubic cm
The volume of a cube = edge3
Here the edge = 5 cm
The volume of a cube = 53
= 5 × 5 × 5 = 125 cubic centimeters.
The rectangle tank is of length 25 feet, 10 feet width, and height 5 feet. Find the volume of a tank.
The volume of the tank is 1250 cubic feet
The volume of the rectangular tank = lwh
Here, l = 25, w = 10, and h = 5
Therefore, the volume of tank = 25 × 10 × 5 = 1250 cubic feet
Calculate the volume of a cylinder with a radius of 36 cm and height of 36 cm.
The volume of cylinder = 146499.84 cm3
Volume of cylinder = πr2h
Here, r = 36 cm, h = 36 cm
Volume = π × 362 × 36 = 3.14 × 36 × 36 ×36 = 146499.84 cubic centimeters
What is the volume of a pyramid with a base of 6 feet by 4 feet and a height of 9 feet?
The volume of a pyramid is 72 cubic feet
The volume of a pyramid = â…“ lwh
Here l is length, w is the width of the base, and h is height,
Therefore, volume = â…“ × 6 × 4 × 9 = 72 cubic feet
