What is the Divisibility Rule of 339?

The divisibility rule for 339 is a method by which we can find out if a number is divisible by 339 or not without using the division method. Check whether 6780 is divisible by 339 with the divisibility rule.

Step 1: Divide the number into groups of the same size from right to left according to the length of 339, which is a 3-digit number. In 6780, group it as (6)(780).

Step 2: Multiply the first group by 3 and the second group by 1. Here, 6 × 3 = 18 and 780 × 1 = 780.

Step 3: Add the results from Step 2, i.e., 18 + 780 = 798.

Step 4: Check if the sum, 798, is divisible by 339. In this case, it's not, so 6780 is not divisible by 339.
