The divisibility rule for 241 is a method by which we can find out if a number is divisible by 241 or not without using the division method. Check whether 482 is divisible by 241 with the divisibility rule.

 

Step 1: Multiply the last two digits of the number by 241, here in 482, 82 is the last two digits. Multiply it by 1. 82 × 1 = 82

 

Step 2: Subtract the result from Step 1 from the remaining values, but do not include the last two digits. i.e., 4 – 82 = -78.

 

Step 3: Since -78 is not a multiple of 241, therefore, the number is not divisible by 241. If the result from step 2 is a multiple of 241, then the number is divisible by 241.
