We cannot consider the number 54 as a prime number, because it has more than 2 divisors. Only a number with 2 divisors of 1 and itself is considered a prime number.

Using the Counting Divisors Method

Counting Divisor method is a certain type of method where we first count all the positive divisors of the number. If the number of divisors is 2 then it is a prime number. With 54 we can see that it has more than 2 divisors, hence it's a composite number.

Using the Divisibility Test Method

In the division test, we look at the opportunity to divide the number by any of the prime numbers. And if we cannot then it is considered as a prime here 54 can be divided by 3 which is a prime number therefore because of this 54 cannot be a prime number.

It is a list of prime numbers up to a certain number, which can be used for the identification of prime numbers.

If the number does not exist in the prime number chart, then it is not a prime number, here are all the prime numbers from 1 to 60. 2, 3, 5, 7…. 43, 47, 53, 59. As we can see that 54 is not present in the chart, hence it is not a prime number.
