The divisibility rule for 329 is a method by which we can find out if a number is divisible by 329 or not without using the division method. Check whether 9887 is divisible by 329 with the divisibility rule.

 

Step 1: Separate the number into two parts, the last three digits and the remaining digits. For 9887, separate it into 987 and 9.

Step 2: Multiply the last three digits by 1 and the remaining digits by 3. So, 987 × 1 = 987 and 9 × 3 = 27.

Step 3: Add the results from Step 2. 987 + 27 = 1014.

Step 4: Check if the result from Step 3 is divisible by 329. Since 1014 is not a multiple of 329, 9887 is not divisible by 329.
