An even number is an integer that can be divisible by 2 evenly. Even numbers are used in programming, binary structures, and statically calculations. In this topic, we will be learning about even numbers, ranging from 1 to 100.
Even numbers are the natural numbers that can be divisible by 2 evenly. Here in this topic, we will be learning the list of even numbers ranging from 1 to 100 like 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12,…. and so on. To check whether a number is even or not, we should check the last digit of the number. The last digit will always end with 0, 2, 4, 6, and 8. A few distinct features of even numbers are -:
As we know, numbers that are divisible by 2 are what we call even numbers. Learning about even numbers can be made easier with a visual representation that would help children understand the concept better. The 1 to 100 even number charts provide an organized and well-structured way to identify even numbers. Let’s go through the chart below:
Even numbers can be evenly divided by 2. Even numbers are always found in pairs, like 2 and 4, 6 and 8, which makes it easier for us to spot them. The list of even numbers includes all numbers from 1 to 100 which are divisible by 2. Let’s take a look at the list of even numbers from 1 to 100.
List of Even Numbers | |||||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
2 | 4 | 6 | 8 | 10 | 12 | 14 | 16 |
18 | 20 | 22 | 24 | 26 | 28 | 30 | 32 |
34 | 36 | 38 | 40 | 42 | 44 | 46 | 48 |
50 | 52 | 54 | 56 | 58 | 60 | 62 | 64 |
66 | 68 | 70 | 72 | 74 | 76 | 78 | 80 |
82 | 84 | 86 | 88 | 90 | 92 | 94 | 96 |
98 | 100 |
The even numbers start from 2, 4, 6, 8, and so on which are completely divisible by 2. To find the sum of the even numbers, we use the formula S = x (x + 1). There are 50 even numbers from 1-100. Therefore, we take ‘x’ as 50.
Applying the value of ‘x’ as 50 in the formula, we get 2550.
→ S = x (x + 1) = 50 (50 + 1) = 50 × 51 = 2550
Listed below are the properties of even numbers:
Subtraction of even numbers is determined by simply subtracting one even number from another even, which always results in an even number. If an odd number is subtracted from an even number, the result will be odd.
For example,
40 - 12 = 28 which is an even number.
38 - 17 = 21 which is an odd number.
Write all 10 consecutive even numbers ranging between 1 and 50.
The 10 consecutive even numbers between 1 and 50 are 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 16,18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 30, 32, 34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 44, 46, 48, 50.
Even numbers are those that can be divided by 2 without any remainder. Every other number in a sequence of natural numbers is even. They are 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 16,18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 30, 32, 34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 44, 46, 48, 50.
How many even numbers are there between 1 and 100?
There are 50 even numbers, are there between 1 and 100
There are 100 numbers from 1 to 100 which include 1 and 100. So, there can be 50 odd and 50 even of them (including 1 and 100).
Find the smallest even number which is the sum of two odd primes.
8 is the smallest even number that can be formed from the sum of two odd primes
We know that 3 and 5 are the first two natural odd primes. Their sum is 8, which is even too. So the smallest even number which is the sum of two odd primes is 8.
Find the sum of even numbers that range between 10 and 20.
The sum of even numbers range between 10 and 20 is 60.
Even numbers that exist between 10 and 20 include 12, 14, 16, and 18.
Sum = 12 + 14 + 16 + 18 = 60
Therefore, the total even numbers which are from 10 to 20 is 60.
calculate the sum of the largest and the smallest even number from the list of even numbers 1 to 100.
102
From the list of even numbers 1 to 100, the highest number is 100 and the lowest number is 2. So, the required sum is 100 + 2 = 102.
