LCM of 7 and 10 using Division method:

In the division method, we divide both the numbers by the lowest possible number until we get 1 for both numbers.

 

  • 2 divides 10 and not 9 

 

  • 5 divides 10 and not 7

 

  • 7 divides 7 leaving 1

 

LCM = 2 × 7× 5= 70.

LCM of 7 and 10 using Listing multiples:

We write the multiples of both numbers till we find the common one.

 

  • Multiples of 7 : 7,14,21,28,35,42,49,56,63,70…

 

  • Multiples of 10: 10, 20,30,40,50,60,70,80,70…


The common multiple is 70. So, the LCM of 7 and 10 is 70.

LCM(a, b) x GCD(a, b)= a × b


Here, a=7, LCM (7,x)=70


70 × 1=7 × x

7  x / GCF (7,x)
