What is the Divisibility Rule of 80?

The divisibility rule for 80 is a method by which we can find out if a number is divisible by 80 or not without using the division method. Check whether 2880 is divisible by 80 with the divisibility rule.  


Step 1: Check if the number ends with two zeros or can be divided by 4 and 20. In 2880, the last digit is 0.


Step 2: Divide the last two digits by 4. Here, 80 ÷ 4 = 20.


Step 3: Since 20 is a multiple of 20, the number 2880 is divisible by 80. If the result from step 2 isn't a multiple of 20, then the number isn't divisible by 80.
