What is the Divisibility Rule of 395?

The divisibility rule for 395 is a method by which we can find out if a number is divisible by 395 or not without using the division method.

Check whether 790 is divisible by 395 using the divisibility rule.

Step 1: Check if the number is divisible by 5. A number is divisible by 5 if its last digit is 0 or 5. Here, 790 ends in 0, so it is divisible by 5.

Step 2: Check if the number divided by 5 is divisible by 79. Divide 790 by 5 to get 158. Now check if 158 is divisible by 79.

Step 3: Since 158 divided by 79 equals 2 (an integer), 158 is divisible by 79. Therefore, 790 is divisible by 395.divisibility rule of 395
