We need to add fuel to the bottom box in the furnace. You can use coal, wood, wooden items, charcoal, etc as fuel sources. Here, we will use coal as the fuel source.

3. Adding a block of clay to make Terracotta 

Next after adding the fuel, we need to put a block of clay in the top part of the furnace.
