How long does it take to master a particular skill? It takes very little time when you’re blessed with an excellent team full of some of the brightest minds in education and learning!

Introduction

The largest gathering of edutech stakeholders in India is held at the BW Edutech Summit & Awards. The initiative invites all edtech pioneers, institutional leaders, educational publishers, and educators to take part and leave their mark on future educational technology development.

In a daylong program titled “Transformation In Education Through Technology & Skilling,” BW Education awarded 19 awardees at The Imperial in New Delhi on August 20, 2022, for their outstanding contributions to edtech in India, bringing us great pride to be one of those winners. 

We’re proud to announce that BrightCHAMPS has earned the esteemed BW Businessworld Edtech of the Year award and that our founder and CEO, Ravi Bhushan, has also been recognized as CEO of the Year!

Without the ongoing leadership of our visionary founder, our incredibly committed leadership team, and everyone else who has ever taken part in this historical adventure, this would not have been possible!

Participants and Scheduled Events

There was worldwide participation from several nations. Thought leaders and presenters from India and around the world offered their views and perspectives on the future of EdTech, which will be unveiled through a series of interactive sessions, motivational keynotes, demonstrations, and start-up pitches.

This conference examined topics that are relevant to the future in both the Indian and global educational technology markets. Sessions and panel discussions on EduTech trends, the condition and development of EduTech in India, and the main topics were mapping and satisfying the present and future needs for technology in education.

Jury Panel

More than 100 nominations were submitted for the summit this year, and a renowned jury panel chose the most deserving candidates. The jury was presided over by Padma Shri TV Mohandas Pai, Chairman of Manipal Global Education.

Jury members included:

• Dr. Punam Sahgal, management consultant, and former dean of IIM Lucknow;
• Jaspreet Bindra, founder of The Tech Whisperer;
• Virendra K Tiwari, director of IIT Kharagpur;
• Abhishek Maheshwari, CEO of AESL;
• Seema Jhingan, co-founder of LexCounsel;
• Sudhanshu Pant, head of human resources at The British School in New Delhi;
• Vipul Singh, Divisional VP & Head-HR, ADP; and
• Dr. Annurag Batra, Chairman & Editor-in-Chief, BW Businessworld & exchange4media Group.

We started this life-altering adventure a little more than two years ago with the goal of creating the most recognizable educational brand in the world, providing cutting-edge skills to assist every child in becoming future-ready. What a voyage it has been, too.

From a few lessons coordinated by text messaging to more than With 500,000 students and 2,000 teachers registered across 25 countries, we really can’t be stopped!

Award Ceremony

The event kicked off at 10:15 AM with Dr. Batra’s welcome speech, which was followed by Navin Mittal IAS’s special address as the Chief Guest and Commissioner of Collegiate Education & Technical Education for the Government of Telangana.

Prof. Sanjay Fuloria, Professor, ICFAI Business School (IBS), Hyderabad, gave a PowerPoint presentation on the topic of “Use of Business Simulations and Games as Teaching Tools.” The day continued with a number of insightful interactive panel discussions on 21st-century skills, making India a global education destination, the advantages and difficulties of dual degrees, diversity, and inclusion in the education sector, and finally the award ceremony for the country’s top edutech.

The winners were felicitated by Dr. Annurag Batra, Vinesh Menon, and Harsh Wardhan. The award ceremony was streamed live across all BW Businessworld platforms, including social media channels.
