All prime numbers are basically divided into two prime or composite numbers. Prime numbers are helpful for coders in error-detection and error-correction algorithms like cyclic redundancy checks (CRC).
61 is a prime number and on the prime factorization of 61, we get only 1 and 61 as the factor of 61. And, also it contains exactly two factors, which is 1 and 61, where it is known as the prime number.

In the counting divisors method, list the divisors of the given number and check if the number, to be considered prime, satisfies the two criteria.
The counting divisors method for 61 would simply be
Divisors of 61=1, 61.
Number of divisors=2
The number 61, hence, can be considered prime.
In the divisibility method, the prime number only has 2 divisors, which are 1 and itself. There is no specific divisibility check for the number 61 other than checking if it is divisible by 1 and 61.
List the prime numbers chart up to 70.
The prime numbers 1 to 70 are 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, 31, 37, 41, 43, 47, 53, 59, 61, 67. By keeping a note of the chart like above, we can easily determine if a number is prime or not.
Prime factorization is only applicable to non-prime number/composite numbers. Since 61 has no other factors than 1 and 61, it cannot be factored into smaller numbers.
