Minecraft is one of the most popular and adventurous sandbox games created by Mojang  Studio using the Java programming language. Here, the sandbox meaning is that to achieve a  goal in this game, players need a high degree of creativity. Minecraft is a popular and best-selling game, and due to this, a collaboration between Mojang Studio and Warner Brothers’ animation group has decided to release a  movie on Minecraft in 2023. The movie’s name is “Minecraft: The Movie.” It is a Swedish and American animated and live-action film based on the popular video game Minecraft.  

Minecraft: The Movie is directed by Jared Hess from a screenplay by Chris  Bowman and Hubbel Palmer. The film’s original release date was March 4, 2022, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the new date is October 13, 2023.

Movie History: 

In February 2014, the idea of a Minecraft horse movie began and was expressed by game creator Notch. After that, he tweets on his Twitter account about Mojang and  Warner Brothers. Immediately, script writing was initiated. It was disclosed that  Mojang Studio will be one of the movie production companies, and Warner  Brothers will serve as the primary distributor. 

At the end of 2014, Vu Bui, who is the Chief Content Officer of Mojang, showed a lively interest in this project by saying that the movie was in the beginning stages of development. But also stated that it is a large-budget movie, so the excitement remains high.

Many directors came into the scene and many directors left the movie in the two years following its announcement, but at one point, famous director Shawn Levy boarded the project, but he also left it. Many staff and crew changes have occurred in this project over the last few years, with directors, producers, writers, and visual effects artists leaving and replacing the project. 

The team announced the first release date, May 24, 2019, in 2016, and published the front cover of the movie script. The team announced in April 2019 that the film’s release date would be delayed due to the pandemic situation of COVID-19 in order to ensure the team’s safety. They have set a new release date of May 4, 2022.

The Minecraft Movie’s Plot: 

In this adventure movie, siblings Alex and Steve are on wild adventures to save their overworld from the dangerous villain Herobrine. Steve’s permanent twin brother, an evil villain wants the overworld for himself and their friends.

The Prediction: 

Steve and Alex (siblings) must go on Journey 

They must save the Overworld because it is in danger. 

An evil villain named Herobrine is planning to take over. 

He needs to face all four of his buddies:

1. The Ender Dragon
2. The White Enderman
3. Null
4. Entity_303

Herobrine is included in it at the end. 

We still don’t know the exact plan.
