Ender chest is an item in Minecraft used to store other items and blocks, the same as the other types of chests! But the difference in this chest (Ender chest), is if you build two ender chests far from each other’s or beside each other’s you can put the items in one chest and find them in the other chest! So the items in the ender chest can travel with you anywhere you go. You can create the ender chest in your safe house and take another one with you for your adventure, you can put the useful items you need in the chest so if you need them you don’t have to go back to your home to get these items, you can simply just put the ender chest and take what you need. If you place it you will not be able to take it back when you break it, it will turn into obsidian blocks that are used to create a gate to the hell world (nether world), so do not destroy your all ender chests if they have items inside them, or they will go.

An ender chest is difficult to make because it requires 8 obsidian blocks and the eye of the ender, which you can only obtain by killing an ender man and using blaze powder to craft his ender pearl.

Types of chests in Minecraft:

In Minecraft, there are 4 types of chests where you can store your items

  1. Chest:

The normal chest in Minecraft needs 8 wood planks to create it on the crafting table, and it has 27 empty slots to put your items there, also this chest can collide! You can create a bigger chest if you put 2 chests beside each other. It will get 54 empty slots to put the items in it. If the things fit together, each slot can hold 64 items, however, some, such as swords and tools, can only hold one. If the chest is broken, the contents will jump out all over the place.

  1. Trapped chest:

The trapped chest is similar to the normal chest in everything! The only difference is that if you open a trapped chest it will interact with the items beside it, if there is a TNT block beside this chest it will blow. If this chest is connected to a Redstone network it will power on the network, and of course, the crafting is different.

  1. Ender chest:

We already discussed this chest; you can teleport your items from one ender chest to another by inserting two ender chests in different locations or beside each other’s; ender chests aren’t collidable, so they only have one size with 27 slots; when you destroy the ender chest, you will only take the eight obsidians you used to create it; I will go over it step by step below.

  1. Shulker Box:

This is the last type of chest, and it is my favorite! The shulker box can store your items like any other chest, and while you can take it on your journeys and adventures, it is like your bag pack; you can put your items inside it and break it. You will take the shulker box and put it in your inventory while it has 27 different items in it; you will not lose anything if you take it anywhere, and it is not colliding.

It has only one size but so many colors; you can create as much of it as you want and store more items in it when you go on your adventures. Crafting this chest is hard! You must travel to the end dimension or end city to find and kill shulkers; you must kill at least two to obtain the shulker shell, and this item requires two shulker shells and one chest. Engaging in such activities for kids not only introduces them to the thrilling world of Minecraft but also encourages problem-solving and strategic thinking as they embark on quests to gather resources and craft unique items.

Ender chest step by step from scratch:

To craft an Ender chest, you need many items. First of all, you need to find a tree and cut it down to get wood, and then you need to turn it into plank wood and create the crafting table. If you’re looking for engaging activities, consider involving kids in the process to make it a fun and educational experience. Crafts for kids can include decorating the crafted items or creating their own imaginative designs, adding an extra layer of creativity to the crafting process.

The crafting table is used to craft almost 90% of the Minecraft items, so you need it to create the chests, armors, blocks, and even some food that can be crafted on the crafting table.

You need 9 wood planks to create the crafting table.

Then you need to create the wooden pickaxe to collect stones, and then you have to create a stone pickaxe, just as you have to collect iron ingots under the ground in order to create an iron pickaxe, as an iron pickaxe and above can only collect obsidian blocks.

Wooden pickaxe crafting:

Stone pickaxe crafting:

Iron pickaxe crafting:

Note: In order to make iron ingots, you need to craft a furnace using  8 stone blocks on the crafting table, then press on the furnace with raw iron and wood planks or coal to make a fire and melt the raw iron into iron ingots.

After creating the iron pickaxe, you should create a nether portal or go find a nether! There are many shapes and sizes of nether portals, but they all take you to the nether dimension or the hell world!

Here are some natural portals:

You would be lucky if you found a big portal, as you could create a smaller one from the destruction of this one.

The smallest portal should be 3×2, and all of them should be obsidian blocks. It will look like this:

If you didn’t find a natural portal, then you have to go underground and find a place where water and lava meet! If you put water over the lava, the lava will turn into obsidian.

After putting the blocks in this order, you only need one more step!

You have to create the flint and steel tool!

You can get the flint from the gravel block:

You need to destroy the gravel block in order to get the flint, and then you have to get an iron ingot to craft it with the flint in order to create the flint and steel tool; this tool is used to create fire, and pressing on the nether portal toy will turn the portal on! So you can just step into the portal to go to the nether world, where you have to find the blaze!

This monster looks cute, but it is too dangerous,

You must kill it in order to obtain the blaze rod.

You have to turn the blaze rod into blaze powder. It will give you two powders.

After creating the blaze powder, you have to find and kill the ender man!  The Ender Man is another dangerous mob that you can find anywhere in all three worlds (the world, the nether, and the end).

When you kill the ender man, you will get the ender pearl.

You must now combine the ender pearl and the blast powder to obtain the eye of ender.

After making the ender eye, it’s time to make the ender chest.

We have to collect 8 obsidians and get 1 eye of ender, and then we will use the crafting table in order to make this happen.

To make our ender chest, we must combine the eight obsidians and the eye of the ender. These materials will only create one ender chest.

Now the ender chest is crafted successfully!

Conclusion

Similar to other types of chests, an ender chest is a thing in Minecraft that is used to store blocks and other things. The difference with this chest, however, is that if you construct two Ender chests close together or apart, you can place the items in one chest and discover them in the other!
