What is Alien Artifacts Fortnite

The alien artifact is one of the most famous floating containers in Fortnite, Chapter 2, Season 7. It can be considered a “floating basket” that lets players customize the new Battle Pass Kym era skin. Along with this, many other features like new skin tones, eyes, mouths, etc. were also introduced.  

Every week, Epic Games releases five new alien artifacts on the map. To free all the Kym era styles, players must find both Alien Artifacts and farm Cosmic Chests. 

Even after completing various challenges or reaching certain levels, players still cannot access the Kym era’s parts. Instead, Season 7 introduced a new structure of currency called Alien Artifacts. The artifacts are used to buy unique style options from the Kym-era Battle Pass menu.  

Location of Different Alien Artifacts Fortnite in Season 7 

To grab all the Kym era outfits players must get 360 alien artifacts. Apart from finding the mentioned number of artifacts, they also must collect farm Cosmic Chests that can drop a maximum of 15 artifacts in a single week. 

The locations of the current alien artifacts can be figured out using the map below. New artifacts are added to the map every week at separate locations. Each location offers the player three artifacts. A gold artifact is yet to be added to the map, and that will offer seven artifacts to the players at a specific location. 

The Alien Artifacts are out and are free to make an unclear noise when nearby, making it easier for the players to locate and collect them. To collect them, players need to walk into them. Players can even drive through them using a boat, car, or UFO. The artifacts will be returned to the players when they return to the lobby after the match. 

Artifact 1

Between Craggy Cliffs and Steamy Stacks, inside the IO Base, is where artifact 1 may be found. Usually, it will be on the ground level adjacent to the stairs, in front of a vast IO workstation. 

Artifact 2

Next to the southern side of Stealthy Stronghold is where Artifact 2 can be spotted. Players should turn left as they move towards the hilltop and collect resources on the way to build stairs to reach the watchtower where the artifact awaits.

Artifact 3

Artifact 3 is located northeast of Lazy Lake. Under the bridge, the item will be floating (right under the appended boats). To get there, players must either jump off the bridge or construct platforms.

Artifact 4

The fourth artifact is located southeast of Slurpy Swamp. Players should keep moving towards the edge of the map until IO Base arrives. Go inside and up to the second-floor bathroom. The artifact will be found in the rightmost stall.

Artifact 5

The last artifact is located on a small island, south of Catty Corner. A small structure is located on the eastmost side and is used for shooting practice targets.

Moving forward, towards the second floor. The artifact will be floating above one of the steel beams.
